Meet Chad Glasscock, The Island Chef.
A Birmingham, Alabama native, chef Chad has over a decade of culinary experience. After studying culinary arts at the Art Institute of Atlanta and attending classes abroad, Glasscock became the Executive Chef of Terra Cotta Café in Auburn, Alabama. He then returned to Atlanta as the Executive Sous Chef of Murphy’s in Virginia Highlands and later became the Chef at Simpatico in Marietta. Chad and his wife Carrie moved to Charleston, S.C. in 2002 when he became the Executive Sous Chef for Patrick Properties, which included a fine dining restaurant and two separate event facilities.
Chad has maintained a desire to bring the experience of great food, good wine and fine dining in to the home. That is why he created Island Chef, a complete personal chef service. This has allowed Chef Chad to move outside the restraints of the restaurant business and do what he loves best, cooking.
